Inside Sophia’s Purse

Today we’re doing something every reader secretly loves.

We’re snooping through a fictional character’s belongings. Sophia from Curves of Power: To Burn would absolutely hate this article…..

Which naturally makes it even more fun.

Designer Sunglasses

Not because she needs them.

Because she enjoys looking mysterious.

A Tiny Notebook

Filled with observations.

Plans. Names. Details.

Sophia notices everything.

It’s one of her greatest strengths….. And occasionally one of her biggest problems.

Lipstick

Perfectly applied.

Always.

Even when everything else is falling apart.

Especially then.

A Hotel Keycard

The story behind it is …none of your business. According to Sophia.

Which probably means it’s very much our business.

A Photograph

Old.

Slightly bent at the edges.

One she rarely looks at. One she never throws away.

The version of Sophia readers see first is confident, witty, and completely in control.

But every great character has layers.

Beneath the confidence is grief. Beneath the sarcasm is hurt. Beneath the revenge plan is someone who wanted justice and got lost somewhere along the way.

Which is exactly why she’s become one of my favorite characters to write. She’s messy. Complicated…. And trying her best.

Aren’t we all?

Love this book? You can grab it directly from my website or through my Amazon author page. When you purchase from my website, a larger portion of the sale goes directly to supporting my writing, allowing me to create more stories, mental health resources, and magical guides without relying on algorithms or advertising. You’ll also find exclusive bonuses, free reader gifts, and occasional special offers that aren’t always available elsewhere. If Amazon is your preferred bookstore, that’s perfectly fine too. Either way, thank you for supporting an independent author who spends an unreasonable amount of time talking to fictional people and turning it into books.
